April in the Time of the Virus

Welcome, all, to mid-spring - unlike one we've ever known but I'm glad to say we're getting through. I want to bring a couple of things to your attention:
  • GUEST PARKING SPOTS – Both the American River Drive and Commons Drive areas of Village 4 have parking spots for guests. It is particularly important that we leave those spots free for guests or deliveries at this time. The spots are NOT to be used for overnight (or several overnights in some cases) company.
  • Tim Souza and his colleagues at The Helsing Group have remained attentive and vigilant in helping us get through our usual property management concerns. You will have received their notice about the best way to contact them if you have an issue - and that is by email : campuscommons4@helsing.com. If it is an association emergency, call 916 722-8110 and follow the prompts to reach on-call staff who will assist you. As always, for any medical, police or fire related emergencies, call 911.
  • The Long-Range Landscape Development Project Committee has been meeting via Zoom. It has created a Project Overview and a set of Frequently Asked Questions that are posted on the website under Important Links on the left. I recommend you review both, direct any questions you might have to the committee email address: V4LRLDP@gmail.com. In addition, Project Manager Gary Slavit has distributed a flyer requesting your contact information, and asks that you complete and return it by April 30 to 959 Commons Drive. They probably have some of this information already, but want to confirm it as they will be sending a survey to replace the third workshop that had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus.
Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

Our July Board Meeting will be held on the 25th at 5:30 in the clubhouse - we will have an update on landscaping among the usual business items. Please check out (on this website) the two letters Village 4 has sent to Sacramento City Planning on the 707 Commons Drive proposal. Everyone is encouraged to continue to send concerns to City Planning and to our City Councilman, Eric Guerra. It is important that our voices are heard as this proposal proceeds.
